This Hedgehog Box has a Wireless HD camera already installed for you. The AHD hedgehog camera will produce colour images only if there is enough daylight coming through the entrance tunnel, this type of habitat is usually placed in and around foliage so clear black and white (Infrared) images will likely be received most of the time due to naturally low light level conditions. The hedgehog box AHD camera includes a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear as well as see what's going on inside the hog box. 
The WiFi camera hedgehog house is very 'Plug & Play' to set up straight to your TV HDMI port. We include full instructions plus hedgehog habitat hints and tips to help increase your chances of successful hedgehog nesting and hibernation.
 
The Mini AHD Camera

The mini AHD camera is packed with technology which has been adapted specifically for use with camera hog boxes and Bird / Feeder camera kits. This truly outstanding HD Hog box camera uses an intelligent Light Sensor to cleverly adjust the image quality to suit its environment producing a full colour HD 1080p resolution image right down to very low light levels. Not only this, the light sensor also serves to adjust the x10 infrared night vision LEDs to a graduating on/off, gently supplementing loss or gain of natural light levels with an invisible IR. The result of this outstanding technology is that we can now produce high definition colour images by day and crisp black and white images during darkness. This mini AHD hedgehog box camera also incorporates a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear as well as see what's going on. The camera has a 3MP / 4.0 mm lens which produces an 87 degree viewing angle, the perfect setup for viewing right up close into the hedgehog nest. The lens will have already been pre-focused to the correct position for you, but it can very easily be adjusted to suit alternative applications.
 
AHD Digital Wireless Camera Transmission
Our newly designed weatherproof AHD transmitter and receiver uses the latest technology to send Video and Audio from the AHD camera up to a distance of 180 metres (line of sight). Please ensure you have a mains power supply located outside in a shed or garage that can be conveniently accessed to use this product. 
The AHD wireless transmitter and receiver is of a professional CCTV quality, it uses digitally encrypted technology which is much more powerful than some cheaper systems that only cover short distances and are prone to interference and frequent signal drop outs. The advantage of using digital wireless is that you will get a good interference free video and audio quality, these paired devices will automatically channel hop if a signal being used on a similar wavelength from another device is detected.
 
How does it work?
Inside: The receiver will connect straight to the (included) AHD Converter which allows for an HDMI connection to your TV or monitor. An HDMI cable is NOT included.
Outside: The AHD transmitter and camera have a single 10 metre weatherproof cable which requires an outdoor mains power ideally located in the nearest outbuilding, a regulated 240v/12v DC mains plug is included. Optional DC cable extensions and other accessories are available.
 
What does 'line of sight' actually mean ?
This is the measured distance achievable when there are no obstructions between the TX and RX. The signal will go through walls and other objects but the fewer the better, a standard house wall can reduce transmission distance by upto 25 metres.
 
Will this AHD Wireless Transmitter work on a CCD camera ?
No, this digital wireless sender is specifically for use with AHD cameras.
 
Does it connect to my Broadband Router WiFi ?
No, the Transmitter sends the video/audio signal to the Receiver only.
