Apodemus Pippyg2 - Advanced, Affordable Static Bat Detection in the Pipistrelle family.
The Apodemus Pippyg2 is the further developed version of the Pippyg. At first glance, it may not appear to have changed much. However, it offers significantly improved audio quality, with a lower, constant noise floor and no more peaks.
In addition, the Pippyg2 is fitted with a USB-C port for external power supply and firmware updates.It remains a compact, cost-effective static recorder for bats and birds, designed for seamless operation via a mobile app.
With a 384 kHz sample rate, it is optimized for use with automated identification systems, such as the BTO Acoustic Pipeline.
The Pippyg2, which is supplied fully assembled, programmed and tested, has a bare PCB design and requires a waterproof enclosure for use in damp or wet environments.
