The BATSCANNER STEREO is an easy to use bat detector. It converts the ultrasonic bat calls into an audible frequency with the "mixer" principle (heterodyne). What makes the BATSCANNER STEREO unique is that the mixing frequency is adjusted and displayed automatically for the detected bat species. Thus, the different bat species can be heard without manual tuning and its main frequency can be seen easily.
The automatic frequency tuning of the BATSCANNER STEREO offers many advantages:
- Immediate display of the main frequency, even with only a brief flyby. This also helps to get a first estimation of the species.
- Miss no bat, just because the wrong frequency is tuned.
- No tedious search for the optimal setting, which is especially helpful in the dark.
- Displays the direction of the sound source (left/right)
The heterodyne converter is digitally driven. This gives the BATSCANNER STEREO a clear sound and only minimal noise. The built-in loudspeaker has been optimized to avoid feedback loops and connected to a headset, one can concentrate even better on the bat calls.
The stereo feature allows to hear the directon and easily locate bats. Feel right in the middle.
The mixing frequency is adjusted and displayed automatically for the detected bat species. Thus, the different bat species can be heard without manual tuning and its main frequency can be seen easily. Optionally the mixing frequency can be adjusted manually and then only bat species in the set frequency range can be heard.
The BATSCANNER STEREO sits comfortably in the hand, is lightweight and not too big to take it with you everywhere you go. Thus one is always prepared. Whether on the evening walk or the next bat excursion, the BATSCANNER STEREO is the ideal companion.
Crickets and noise from walking are an annoying problem when observing with bat detectors. The BATSCANNER STEREO minimizes this problem by a special handling of lower frequencies. Moreover, with only one button press the frequency is reset so the noise is gone. Nevertheless you will not miss any noctule bats.
