Habibat 003 Bat Box
The Habibat 003 Bat Box is a large, solid box made of insulating concrete which provides an internal roost space, and can be integrated into the fabric of a building as it is built or renovated. Suitable for most species commonly found in the UK, this single chambered unit features an integrated V system to increase the surface for bats to roost against, whilst allowing them to move around.
The Habibat 003 Bat Box features a stretcher bond facing which ensure a discreet and seamless finish. The 003 can be faced with a number of products to suit the design build. This includes, brick, block, ensuring the box is unobtrusive and aesthetically pleasing.
Standard Facing - This box is faced in standard smooth blue, buff or red brick and is ideal for new builds.
Bespoke Facing- This box is made to order with a choice of finishes. Please email us to request a quote.

SPECIES: The Habibat box is suitable for species that are most commonly found roosting in buildings in the UK, such as Pipistrelle, Natterer's, Whiskered, and Brandt's bats.
SITING: Habibat should be located where it will receive the maximum amount of sunlight. In the northern hemisphere, this will be the southerly aspects/orientation (south, south-west and south-east).
Position Habibat a minimum of 2 metres but preferably 5 to 7 metres above the ground. Avoid placement above windows, doors and wall climbing plants, thereby reducing the likelihood of predation by cats. A position near the eaves or gable apex of the property would be preferable.
To make Habibat a potential roost for a wider range of bat species, it is helpful to consider whether there are nearby linear vegetation features such as hedges and treelines. This is because some bat species use these features for navigation between their roosting site and feeding ground and to avoid flying in open and exposed areas.
