Unitura Integrated Bat Box VMPM2

This basic two-layer bat box is part of a modular range of integrated woodcrete bat boxes developed by Unitura. The integrated bat box range consists of six modular boxes that can be extended and combined without limitation. This makes it possible to create almost any type of integrated bat box configuration, entirely according to project requirements.

Suitable for
The box has been specifically designed for bat species that roost in buildings. Integrated bat boxes offer excellent habitat opportunities for common pipistrelles and soprano pipistrelles. In addition, the boxes may also be used by noctules, brown long-eared bats and serotine bats.
 
Installation position
The integrated box can be mounted in different compositions and in different ways. The design of the box is adapted to a masonry installation. However, the box can also be incorporated into a wall plate facade and other types of wall cladding.
 
The box can be placed in masonry in three ways, namely:
[1] placement behind masonry with entrance brick,
[2] placement in masonry, finishing with stone strips and
[3] placement flush with masonry.
 
Coupling
The delivered boxes can easily be coupled together on site. All elements have side and top extension walls. On the side where two enclosures are to be joined together, the extension wall must be removed. Removing an extension wall is best done with a hammer and chisel. Once both break-out walls are removed, the two enclosures can be placed against each other, with the obtained openings against each other.
