Acorn Mini 30

The Acorn Mini 30 has the widest field of view of any Acorn trail camera, 130 degrees.
With a choice of visible (white) light or 940nm (no-glow) LEDs, 1920x1080p HD video resolution with sound and 30MP photos (interpolated from 14MP), plus a scheduling function and timelapse it's a really capable little camera and is rated at an impressive IP68.
The Mini 30 is set up using a separate screen, so if you want multiple cameras you'll only need one screen - note that the screen is an optional extra, so make sure you add it or you won't be able to set the camera up!
This camera runs on rechargeable NiMH batteries ONLY. Do not use alkaline or lithium batteries or you'll fry the camera. For best results, use only Eneloop Pro batteries, which you can add to your order.
 
Like many trail cameras, the frame rate is fairly slow, especially at night, when compared to cameras such as the Browning Recon Force and Spec Ops, so if you want top quality video it's worth spending a bit more and going for the Brownings - but you can't get a Browning with white light or 130 degree field of view!
For a basic camera on a budget, the Acorn cameras are definitely worth a shot.
 
You'll have the option to add a screen, batteries, SD cards, charger, security box and tree mount - note that the camera comes with a tree strap, but the tree mount has a screw thread for use in posts and trees and an adjustable bracket.
