Badger Gates - HIRE

Badger Gates - HIRE

Badgers are very strong; they climb and can burrow under a fence in minutes. A standard stock fence is little deterrent against these determined creatures who will make every effort to follow their established routes. We offer our badger gates for hire and usually have plenty available.

Select the number of gates you need and the hire period in weeks. The main quantity should always be 1. Shipping of £15 per order is automatically included.

We'll need proof of insurance cover for hired-in equipment or a deposit to cover the full cost of replacement if the unit is lost or damaged.

Tornado badger gates have been specifically developed to provide a permanent solution for each of the following challenges:

Manufactured from galvanised steel to allow badgers access, or to allow them out but not back in.

Allows badgers to continue using their favoured paths, but without damage to fences or escaping livestock, or dogs.

Can be used in an exclusion, together with upright badger fencing or chainlink ground mesh, to allow badgers to leave their sett, but prevent them returning (must be done under a licence).

Tornado Badger Gates have been specifically designed to enable badgers to pass freely through fences without causing damage. Badgers tend to be very territorial in nature, often using set routes within their habitat to move from one place to the next.

If a stock or deer fence is put up across a badger run, they will either dig under the fence, or attempt to break through. In both cases this causes damage to the fence and leaves an open passage for other animals. Tornado Badger Gates completely eliminate this problem.

You are responsible for not disturbing badgers and for not interfering with or damaging badgers’ setts or their paths, and for complying with legislation in this regard. Accordingly, any use of badger gates should be undertaken only under the supervision and advice of an ecologist experienced in badger work and, where necessary, appropriate licences should be in place before work commences.
