What can I say about the Elekon Batlogger C2?

If you're looking for a static full spectrum recorder to leave out on site, the Elekon Batlogger C2 may be the one for you. The Titley Ranger, the Pettersson D500X and the Wildlife Acoustics SM4BAT are other ones to consider.

All units record bat calls very efficiently, but the main consideration is going to be deployment times. The Batlogger C2 can last for up to 21 nights with 2 microphones, 33 nights with 1 microphone with the single included battery or indefinitely with external battery or solar panel. The D500X can last for 14 nights. The SM4BAT FS and Ranger can last for 30+ nights.

My preference is usually the SM4BAT FS or Titley Ranger with their unprecedented deployment times and ease of use, though the Batlogger C2 now gives them a run for their money and with 2 microphones is a great option.

The data logger for professional long-time recording of bat activity. Besides the proven high-sensitivity records this unit is equipped with remote status function and is designed for long observations in the field when powered by external battery or solar panel.

The BATLOGGER C2 is a recording system for bat calls. It convinces by best audio quality (real time, full spectrum). Meta data like coordinates (GPS) is assigned to every recording - set from app. Analysis software is included.

All data relevant for the bat capture are recorded automatically and in a single device:
Ultrasonic calls (10 – 150 kHz), Location, track (via GPS set from app), Temperature, Recording parameters (timestamp, trigger, ...)

The recordings are stored on an SD card and can be displayed and evaluated on a PC. The new ultrasonic microphones effectively give you two bat recorders for the price of one (with optional extension cables).

The BATLOGGER C2 has been specially developed to carry out your "very long time" studies automatically. All components are designed IP66 and ensure trouble-free operation.

What do I get with my C2?

New cable microphone ultra

The BATLOGGER C2 comes with two of the new cable microphone ultra. It has an integrated microphone test, temperature and humidity sensor. This new microphone has a 5m long cable and can be extended with the microphone extension cables (20m, 50m and 100m).

Due to these new possibilites, the old FG black microphones and cables are not comptatible with the BATLOGGER C2.
